Carters Lake Fishing Report – March 2010

GON Staff | February 23, 2010

Carters: Level: 3.3 feet above full pool. Temp: Low 40s. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides:
Dead slow, said Robert Eidson. A late February 10-boat striper tournament on Carters weighed in just one fish. “They’re either very deep at 50 or 60 feet, or they’re right up on the banks,” said Robert. Either downline small baits like threadfins, medium shiners or small trout down to 50 or 60 feet in the creek mouths, or try to entice the fish cruising the banks with big baits fished on planer boards or flatlines. Mid-lake creeks like Worley and Camp Branch are producing the best.
