Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – June 2020

GON Staff | June 1, 2020

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.3 feet below full pool. Temp: 72 degrees. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Tournament angler Dennis Hudson reports, “A good pattern is fishing topwater early and late with frogs and buzzbaits around grass, and also try walking baits around points, rocks and seawalls. After the early bite fades, some fish can be found on the river points and deeper docks with brushpiles—Texas rigs, shaky heads and small jigs are good bets here. My son Mikey and I won the Lazy Man tournament May 16 with 11.75 pounds. It has been tough for the last few weeks due to the water temperature changes, but it is finally normalizing. The bream have not started bedding yet but will be soon. When the bream are bedding, the bass will be near. Pop-Rs and small prop baits are good around the bream beds.”
