Allatoona Crappie Fishing Report – July 19, 2023

Brad Gill | July 19, 2023

These Allatoona crappie were caught on jigs in brush in 20 to 22 feet of water.

Robert DeHaas, lure-maker with Red Rooster Custom Baits and an OG from “Team Geezer,” reports, “Mid-lake (Victoria landing) area is producing some quality fish right now. Water temperature is 85 and clear. Locating bush in the 20- to 22-foot range, the Retired Air Force team of Jared and Jarrod had some nice fish casting a 1/16-oz. jig with 1.5 (Dagger) crappie bait. These two men love the Lord and get to fish a few hours in the a.m. before going to work. Still using jigs, haven’t had to use minnows yet! It’s hot out, stay hydrated and protect your skin.”
