Wyatt Clark, 17, of Marietta, caught this 11.44-lb. bass from a Jones County lake on July 30.

Brandon Dennis, 16, of Lyons, caught these bass from two different farm ponds in Toombs County on consecutive days. He boated a 9-pounder on July 29 and a 10 1/2-lb. bass on July 30.

“At the age of 62, I took up turkey hunting. That was seven years ago,” said Pawnee Roland, of Thomasville. Last season on April 8, Pawnee shot a big gobbler that weighed 20 pounds and had an 11 3/4-inch beard and spurs that were 1 1/2 and 1 1/4 inches. “I love turkey hunting,” she said. “It is something that me and my husband can do together. You go once, and you are hooked!”

Congrats to Gene Mallory, of Richmond Hill, on his first gobbler. Gene rolled the bird on March 31 in Bryan County.

Cody Patterson, 19, of Clarksville, with a nice bass caught Aug. 17 in a Habersham County lake.
