Brandon Cook, a GON member from Griffin, killed this buck last season in Henry County on Oct. 26.

 

On March 25, GON member James Fuller was throwing a Strike King crankbait while bass fishing at Lake Jackson when this big gar smashed the plug.

 

Jerry Smith, of Eatonton, survived a stroke and serious heart issues to have a great day catching catfish on Lake Sinclair March 28. The big daddy weighed in at 38.11 pounds. With a July 4 birthday, his 68th, Jerry has lots of reasons to celebrate!

 

Kim Thornton, of Cobb, shot this nice buck last season in Sumter County.

 

That’s a great start! Savannah Lord, 20, of Ila, was hunting in Madison County last season when she made her first-ever buck a tough one to beat.

 

Hunter Wyatt, of Geneva, Ala., was hunting in Early County last season when he killed this 8-point buck.

 

Mike Staley, of Fayetteville, shot this Upson County 10-pointer in an area with big scrapes and acorns falling.

 

This 8-point buck from Walker County was killed last season by Nelson Chandler, of LaFayette.

 

A Jenkins County bowhunt on Oct. 21 produced this 10-point buck for GON member Robbie Pace, of Savannah.

 

Charles Barth caught this blue catfish while fishing up the Chattahoochee River above West Point Lake on April 6. He and his wife were fishing with cut white bass they had caught and had landed several stripers and catfish when this 30.8-pounder hit.

 

Rodney Whitt, of Hampton, got this Clayton County 12-point with his bow last season on Oct. 25. Rodney said the buck had eluded him and some hunting friends for several years.

 

GON member Rooster Dollar, of Pelham, with a Grady County 12-point buck he killed last season on opening weekend of gun season.

 

Franklin County produced this 9-point buck last season for Ben Bartlett, of Bowersville. Ben said the buck had its mind on a doe when it offered a broadside shot on Nov. 9.

 

A third beam made this Harris County buck extra special. GON member Billy Hlebeck, of Fortson, killed the 10-pointer when it came out into a powerline food plot following two mature does on Nov. 10.

 

Chris Knight, of Jacksonville, Fla., used his grunt call to get this Dooly County buck to come toward his stand with its nose to the ground last Nov. 9.

 

Joe Arnick, of Young Harris, shot an 8-point buck on Nov. 9, the day after passing it because he couldn’t tell how wide it was.

 

A week later Joe Arnick got his second Dooly County 8-pointer.
