Reagan Cronic with an 18-inch-wide buck he killed last season in Barrow County. Reagan downed the main-frame 8-pointer opening morning of gun season after hunting him for four years.

 

Covington’s Kyle Archer shot this Newton County 10-point buck last Nov. 21 on a special hunt where he was able to help his father get back in the woods after heart-bypass surgery. “I was grateful for having my dad with me… all the years he walked me to the stand and taught me how to hunt,” Kyle said.

 

Cedar Creek WMA in Putnam County produced this 9-pointer last season for Josh Combs, of Locust Grove. The buck was chasing a doe on Nov. 12.

 

Are largemouth bass making a comeback on Lake Allatoona? Lane Mitchell caught and released this beautiful 10.1-pounder at Allatoona in May.

 

On Nov. 18, the Jackson County woods exploded with deer chasing and grunting. David Cain, of Maysville, dropped this 8-pointer.

 

Wayne Cockrill, of Preston, with a 6-lb. Lake Eufaula bass caught on a Texas-rigged worm in 15 feet of water.

 

Dana Ashley, of Leesburg, with his Randolph County 9-point buck taken last season on Nov. 13.

 

Toolman Slaton with a 25-lb. catfish he caught at Carters Lake while fishing at the Northbank Day Use Area near the dam.

 

Chris Pierce, of Jacksonville, Fla., shot this 9-pointer last Oct. 23 as it was trailing a doe in Laurens County.

 

Greg Cobb, of Locust Grove, with a 2015 crossbow buck he killed in Spalding County. He had it scored at the Outdoor Blast at 106 3/8 inches—the No. 5 crossbow buck for the county.

 

Marshall Kinney, 18 at the time, with a Habersham County bear that he killed with his guides Kyle Withrow and Kyle’s two sons.

Mark Brooks spent a few days on Lake Sinclair jug fishing with buddies from Clarkesville, and they had a blast, taking home lots of catfish for the freezer.

Robbie Howell caught this largemouth bass on June 10 while fishing the family pond near Mt. Zion in Carroll County. The fish was 22 inches long.
