Piedmont Refuge in Jones County produced this 8-pointer on Oct. 29 for Mark Hamby, of Villa Rica.

GON subscriber Ethan Eaton, of White County, was hunting with his girlfriend Hannah Kimbrell on May 13 when they doubled on identical longbeards. “It was a dang good day!” said Ethan.

In just her second season hunting, 68-year-old Dorothy Dunn, of Temple, dropped this 8-pointer with one shot from her Marlin .243. She was hunting in Haralson County Dec. 18 on a very cold morning when she shot the buck.

Kayaker Jon Hummel, of Atlanta, with a 20-inch, 5-lb. shoal bass caught and released May 29 on the Chattahoochee River within the city limits of Atlanta.

Congrats to Katie Carter, of Temple, who got her first deer on Jan. 3 while hunting in Hancock County.

Matthew Adams, of Atkinson County, killed this big gobbler on April 10. The turkey had an 11 3/4-inch beard and 1 1/4-inch spurs.

Newnan’s Kevin Yarbrough is having a great time outdoors. “On Nov. 5, I was blessed to harvest the biggest buck of my life (in Coweta County), which earned the No. 2 spot in Week 8 of Truck-Buck. On April 16, I caught the biggest largemouth of my life (center), which was 11-lbs., 4-ozs. On May 7, I caught the second biggest largemouth of my life, which was 10-lbs., 3-oz. That evening my 9-year-old son Caleb (right) caught his first largemouth on a swimbait in Meriwether County.”
