Best friends Bruce Bennett and Eddie Nobles shot two big bucks within minutes of each other in Hancock County on Nov. 6. Bruce got a 9-pointer and Eddie an 8-pointer.

Harry Wells, 22, was home for a visit from serving his country in the U.S. Navy when he got his first bow deer, an Upson County 8-pointer. Congrats Harry, and thank you for your service!

GON subscriber Anthony Paolucci, of Brooklyn, N.Y., with a Hancock County 8-pointer killed on the last evening of his seven-day hunt.

This 4 1/2-year-old Hancock County buck was chasing a doe the morning of Nov. 19. Jeff Bilkert, of Marietta, picked the right stand that morning.

Johna Busby, 20, with a hog she killed Oct. 9 in Elbert County. Johna got two deer with her muzzleloader on Oct. 21, and she shot a coyote on Oct. 29.

This big public-land gobbler was killed by Matthew Martin on Chattahoochee National Forest property in Chattooga County last April 12.

Joe Irwin, of Ball Ground, had a good day fishing the Toccoa tailwater on Nov. 23. “Late afternoon I landed a 27-inch brown trout, weight unknown, but she was heavy. Trout was successfully released unharmed,” Joe said.

Warren County produced this 10-point buck for Sandra Pritchett, of Dawsonville, on opening day of gun season. It is Sandra’s best buck to date.

Shane Cox, of Hazlehurst, let six deer walk the morning of Oct. 23 before this 10-pointer showed up at 7:45 a.m. Shane was hunting in Jeff Davis County.
