Marihelen Strickland, 19, of Lakeland, shot this big 8-point on the family farm in Lanier County on Jan. 10. Marihelen is the daughter of GON member Jay Jay Strickland.

This is a trophy brook trout. Christopher Roesner said his 19-inch fish from the Soque River in Habersham County weighed 2.76 pounds.

 

This Laurens County bruiser weighed 222 pounds. Mark Moore, of Dublin, killed the 8-pointer opening day of gun.

 

Long-time GON member David Miller, of Lula, dropped this 130-inch Hall County 8-pointer on Nov. 10 as it was chasing a doe.

 

Doug Lloyd, of Leesburg, with a super bow-kill during gun season. Doug arrowed this Macon County 9-point Oct. 21.

 

GON member Michael Toomey, of Box Springs, with his biggest buck to date, taken Nov. 24 in Marion County.

 

Here’s a big ol’ bird from Rockdale County. Bryan Davis, of Social Circle, said his 26-lb. gobbler had 1 1/2-inch spurs and an 11 1/4-inch beard.

 

Gainesville’s Chase Adams with his first deer, an 8-point buck from Hancock County.

 

Will Isley, grandson of longtime GON member Phil Crane, of Powder Springs, will his Jones County 9-point buck.

Clarissa Ledford, 16, of Glenwood, downed this Wheeler County 8-point buck on opening morning of gun season. Clarissa was sitting in the stand with her mom hunting over a food plot.

 

Spalding County produced this 8-point buck for Robbie King, of Senoia. There was lots of activity during the rut on Nov. 11, and he had shot a doe an hour before. Robbie’s been hunting this QDM managed property for 14 years.

 

Charlie Adams, of Jasper, got his first bear Nov. 13—and did it with a bow! The Pickens County bear weighed 348 pounds.

 

A Pickens County 10-point buck was a belated wedding gift for Taylor Martinez, of Jasper. Taylor got her best-ever buck on Nov. 19 after getting married in September.

 

Chance Brown, a GON member from Winder, shot this Taliaferro County 10-point buck the morning of Oct. 21.

 

Bobby Lee Smith Jr., of Macon, was hunting a Jones County food plot opening morning of gun season when he killed this big 7-pointer.

 

Aubree McPherson, of Tifton, with her opening weekend 9-pointer from Tift County. Aubree was in Week 7 of Truck-Buck and the Ladies Wildcard.

 

At 6 p.m. on opening day of gun season, Alan Everett, of Glennville, was hunting a ground blind after a big rainstorm had blown through Tattnall County. He double-lunged this buck when it came out in a food plot.

 

This 4.1-lb. largemouth helped Matt Hardin place third last March during an IEC/ABC bass tournament at Lake Oconee.

 

Brandon and Amber Cook, of Griffin, both got birds last April 22—Brandon’s was in Henry County and Amber’s in Clayton County.
