The second duck ever for Parker Schultz, 17, of Griffin, was his first banded bird, a woodie hen he killed in Spalding County. The duck was banded on Aug. 17 in Gratiot County, Michigan.

Heather Barnes, 16, shot this 8-pointer in Laurens County on Nov. 10. Heather said it was her first time seeing a buck while hunting a stand by herself, so she had to calm her nerves.

This Meriwether County buck was trailing a doe on Dec. 30 when Dick Blevins, of Williamson, downed the 10-pointer.

Guide Shane Goebel sent this picture of a double up with a big hybrid and a striper caught in late August at Nottely.

Melanie Bolt’s first buck ever sure was a nice one. She killed the deer on Nov. 25 while hunting in Newton County.

Brandon Berry, 19, killed this 238-lb. Peach County buck on Oct. 31. They measured it at 146 inches.

Dillan Hatcher said he’s been waiting for two years to get a buck like this. He shot the 10-pointer in Warren County on the last day of muzzleloader season.

Josh Price, of Culloden, was hunting the edge of a Crawford County soybean field on Oct. 22 when he killed this 10-point buck at 7:15 p.m.

Paulding Forest WMA produced this big buck for Joshua Miller during a Nov. 9 hunt. The rack was green-scored at 157 total inches.

William Meeks, of Tennille, said this 47-lb. Lake Oconee blue catfish pulled the boat around. William caught and released the big blue on Aug. 20.
