This Baldwin County buck was pushing a doe the evening of Oct. 22. Jason Cannon, of Macon, shot the big 10-pointer when it offered a shot 30 minutes after slipping by the first time.

Thanksgiving Day was put-meat-in-the-freezer-day for Chris Lingerfelt, of Stephens County. After he killed his third deer, Chris got a text from his wife telling him to quit shooting because they were out of room in the freezer.

Ken Robertson, of Wildwood, killed this big Dade County buck Dec. 23 on Lookout Mtn. “The rut starts late in this area but is in full swing now!” he said.

Dublin’s Scotty Gray has killed some nice bucks in Wilkinson County in consecutive seasons. The 8-pointer above was killed during the 2015 season. It netted 126 7/8 and placed No. 7 in the Week 10 South of the Truck-Buck contest that year. In the picture below, Scotty poses with his 10-pointer killed this season on Nov. 10. That buck is in Week 9 of this year’s Truck-Buck contest.

Chad Hawsey killed a nice Wilcox County 8-pointer on Oct. 28 while his two sons were in the stand with him. Then on Nov. 5, Chad shot a brute. The 10-pointer bottomed-out a 300-lb. scale. Look how much bigger the mature buck’s head is!

Coffee County produced this tall-tined 8-pointer for Justin Harrell, of Nicholls. Justin had two years of history with the buck before killing it on Oct. 27 at 6:15 p.m. “He never changed much from last year other than a little bit more mass and body weight,” Justin said.

Here’s an awesome bow-kill from Newton County. Hunter Parker arrowed this buck on Oct. 8 at 7:20 p.m. The rack was officially scored at 149 7/8 non-typical, giving Hunter the No. 8 bow-buck ever recorded from Newton County, and best non-typical bow-buck.

They didn’t have access to a scale, but estimates put this huge Lake Oconee flathead catfish at close to 65 pounds. Taylor Hardeman, of Greensboro, caught the 49-inch giant near Blue Springs Marina in September on a live shad.

Lemarr Humphrey, of Rome, shot this bear with his bow Sept. 28 on Blue Ridge WMA. It’s Lemarr’s fifth bear from the WMA.

Earl Fain, of Cleveland, shot this 8-point buck on Oct. 27 while hunting in White County on Chattahoochee WMA.
