Lake Jackson Fishing Reports – November 2020

Jackson: Level: Full pool. Temp: 72-77 degrees. Clarity: Lightly stained to clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Brian Lee reports, “The fall bite is all but in full swing. With cooler temperatures, it will definitely kick in. Topwater is still producing a few fish, but you will make a thousand casts for the right two bites. A squarebill Little John crankbait with some chartreuse in it is my go-to crankbait. Any hard structure you can find you need to fish it. A ChatterBait fished around docks and laydowns will catch some good quality fish, as well. This time of the year is pretty simple. Put a moving bait in the water, and keep moving. Look for the fish to be in 5 to 10 feet of water pretty much all day. Don’t forget a blood/blue jig around these same locations. Next month look for cooler water temps and the fall bite to be even better. Not much will change until extreme cooler temps arrive. Look for the shad to bunch up even more into next month, making the fall bite even better.”
