Sportsmen have a rare opportunity to show their gratitude and support for military men and women who sacrificed for our country while also enjoying a morning of wing-shooting standing shoulder-to-shoulder with those heroes.
High Point Quail Shooting Preserve in Locust Grove is hosting the “Purple Heart Wounded Warriors” continental pheasant hunt on Oct. 20.
This is the second year for the special event, which was first coordinated by Bob Paschal, a veteran himself who several years ago began hosting deer hunts for veterans through the Crawford County Lions Club.
Guest-shooter spots on the hunt are available for $350, which includes a Friday-evening steak dinner on Oct. 19, a meet-and-greet with the soldiers and the continental pheasant shoot on Saturday, Oct. 20. You can shoot alongside Purple Heart recipients. At the end of the hunt, birds will be divided equally among the hunters.
To secure a spot on the field next to a hero, or to help with donations, please contact Bill Ward at (770) 231-7921.
