A fly rod and an Appling County pond made for a great day of fishing for Aaron Jones, of Evans.

Scott Barnett, of Griffin, said his spirits were low Nov. 30 last season because he figured the rut was over. A bruiser buck chasing a doe changed Scott’s tune. A little later this 8-pointer chased a doe by his stand, and Scott stopped the buck and made a 30-yard shot with his bow.

This Laurens County buck was following a doe and making scrapes on Nov. 8 last season. Chris Wright, of Alamo, shot the 11-pointer at 8:20 a.m.

Tommy Ford was rolling some huge bass from a Grady County lake on June 24. The big one weighed 10.2, and they all hit parrot colored Bandit crankbaits.

Dakota Tankersly, 19, of Cohutta, with the 225-lb. live weight 10-point buck he killed in Meriwether County on Nov. 14.

Julie Greer and her husband Lee, of Dallas, had a good day on the Coosa River June 27. Julie caught this 10-lb. blue cat, and Lee had a 33 1/2-lb. flathead. Live gizzard shad was the bait.

Austin Jones, of Macon, was coming out of the woods last Nov. 27 when he saw a doe with this Macon County 8-pointer behind her.

Harold Wood Jr., of Powder Springs, with a Greene County 10-pointer he killed on Oct. 30 last season.

A Taylor County powerline in bottomland hardwoods produced this 10-pointer last Nov. 3 for Gene Irby, of Perry.

Amber Warren, of McRae, with her Tattnall County 8-pointer killed Nov. 28.
