Standing Guard Over Piles Of Piglets: From their farm in northern Terrell County, Kathy Wade sent several pictures of a group of big sows and a bunch of baby pigs. “Recently viewing photos from a trail camera on our farm, I was surprised by what I saw,” Kathy said. “We have a large population of wild hogs, so it is not uncommon to have photographs of wild hogs on several trail cameras throughout our farm. However, these photographs reveal images that I have never seen before. The first three images show four sows pushing their babies into two groups. The fourth and last image shows three of the four sows (the fourth sow is at the bottom of the image just out of sight) standing guard over the two sleeping groups of babies. Don’t think I want to walk up on these mommas!”

Best Way To Know If The Bucks Are Rutting On Your Land? Get In The Woods! Some might call this unscientific, but we see it as pretty good evidence of mature buck rutting activity! This trail-cam pic was taken in Talbot County near Junction City. “I am no expert… but on Nov. 4 the rut may have been in,” said Larry Darnell, who sent the pic.

Pear-Snatching Coyote: Wayne Bentley, of Macon, sent a great series of trail-cam pics from his Wilkinson County farm showing an athletic coyote leaping for pears.

Good Luck Scoring This Buck! The tangled mess of points on this crazy buck’s antlers would be a scorer’s nightmare. This picture of a very non-typical was captured in Gwinnett County during the first week of November. Shane Fitzpatrick, of Gainesville, got the picture.

More Mature Bucks Chasing: This big buck in Taliaferro County was running a doe across a food plot at 3:48 p.m. on Nov. 3. Bobby Rich’s camera caught the action. Thank you to Dennis Langford, of Athens, for submitting the pic.
