We Appreciated The Family Atmosphere At The Blast!

Dear GON,

I wanted to thank the GON team for putting on the Blast and the Truck-Buck Shoot-Out. While my performance in the Shoot-Out was below my expectations as a shooter, the experience that my son Lee and I had at your event could not have been better.

From the crew who handled practice to the emcee Daryl Gay, your crew seemed like a family to me. The crew worked hard for no personal reward and put our needs as shooters first. Lee was excited to be able to tell the story of Sir Bucksley to you and all fellow hunters at the show. It was to me like sitting around a campfire with all of you.  

Lee and I witnessed many people helping strangers and treating folks the right way. The folks handling the mounts were super nice and were excellent at handling my mount. Mr. (Duncan) Dobie and his wife were exceptionally nice to Lee and myself. I bought two of his books. The vendors on the floor were not pushy and were quite polite and interesting to talk to. The Snake Man and the falconry people were beyond what I had expected to see. 

The show was exemplary of what the deer hunting community is all about. Lee and I will never forget the experience.  Your crew are the type of people that I want Lee around and influenced by.  

Lee got sick Saturday night, so we headed home Sunday before the Shoot-Out. He was looking forward to watching eggs break again.

More Encouragement From Blast Show Goers

Dear GON,

I wanted to let you guys know you put on an awesome show. That is the way an outdoor hunting show is supposed to be. From the vendors to the really nice people I got to meet, it was an experience of a lifetime for me. 

The GON staff was also willing to talk and interact not only with the shooters but everyone who came up to them. I just wanted y’all to know that I and several other people who were there really appreciated your hospitality.

Vendor Sells Out At Blast

Dear GON,

I just wanted to take a minute to write you guys to tell you how great the Outdoor Blast was for us and our product. We sold out every day and took orders to ship, as well. 

The people running the show were awesome, and the crowd was the best of any show we have done. I look forward to coming back next year with our amazing Deer Drag.

Diana McCranie sent us this picture of a big Dodge County rattler killed by Terry Hardeman. The snake had 12 rattles and one button and wasn’t far from Diana’s home.
