Alex Lunsford harvested this 12-foot, 4-inch alligator from the Altamaha River on Aug. 25. Alex used a crossbow to get the initial line in the beast, but the gator wrapped itself in the line and submerged with the buoy. After a three-hour wait, it surfaced and Alex was able to get a treble hook and a harpoon in it. A well-placed shot with a bang stick finished it off. Alex was guided by Ryan Beasley.
