The long-standing record for the heaviest largemouth bass ever caught from Lake Eufaula is a 16 1/2-lb. bass. John B. Giles reeled in the Eufaula bass on March 12, 1980.
John’s bass is also one of the biggest ever recorded from Georgia, ranking in the Top-15 on GON’s official records of the heaviest largemouth caught in the state.
