Hunt Story

It was about 8:30 in the morning and there was a doe standing about 150 yards down the lane. A small 4-point walked by and I watched it walk down toward the feeder with my binoculars. I got tired of watching it and looked down and set down my binoculars. I looked back up and the big 8-point was standing about 50 yards in front of me. He was looking straight at me. Once he looked away, I grabbed my gun and got ready to shoot. The deer walked straight away from me toward the feeder and walked into the woods behind it. It never gave me a shot. I grabbed my grunt and hit it a few times and the deer walked back out of the woods and went to the feeder. The deer finally turned broadside and gave me an open shot. I took the shot and the deer fell almost immediately.
