Hunter: Susie Kirk
Points: 8 (4L, 4R)
I'd seen this buck on my cameras for the last few days prior to this hunt. He walked in at around 9 a.m. and was eating leaves and chasing does around for about 45 minutes but was never still enough for me to get a good shot before walking off. When he left I grunted a couple of times and it brought both him and a spike back into the clearing, at which point I got to witness them sparring for about 10 minutes. The spike finally relented and left at which point I was finally able to take a good 30 yard shot on the buck. My bolt entered at an angle, and must have hit his spine because he expired shortly after at only about 5 yards from where I hit him.
