Hunt Story
My dad and I were hunting at his club land in Thomaston for the muzzleloader/youth weekend. We had been sitting in our ladder for a couple hours without seeing anything, laughing at text messages from another members about going to Waffle House because nothing was moving. When all of a sudden out of nowhere the 10-pointer nicknamed ED appeared like a ghost standing there in front of us at 20 yards. My dad cocked the muzzleloader, and I had to wait a minute for him to turn broadside and clear a tree. My dad said kill him, and I squeezed the trigger. After the smoke cleared and I stopped shaking, the deer was laying there 20 yards from where he was standing. The celebration and all the texting to other club members started then. It was a good weekend.
