Hunt Story
The buck crossed over behind me at around 75 yards feeding its way through the hardwoods with another small buck. He actually got all the way past me but he got down into my wind. He realized something was out of place and decided to start heading back where he had originally come, but he took a path that was slightly closer to me. He presented a 20 yard broadside shot which I took. I saw the arrow bury up to the fletchings and felt really good about the shot placement, which ended up being a clean double lung shot. I heard him crash about 75-100 yards away. It took about an hour for my husband to show up to help me track the deer. It was a short clean recovery. He is my first buck with a bow and it was a hunt I will never forget!
