I have hunted for this deer all year and I have had trail-camera pics of him the past since last season. On the afternoon of November 30th I climbed a tree 20 yards from the edge of a 5-acre field that I planted in wheat. I watched a young buck feed in the middle of the field for a half hour. At around 5:15 the mature buck that I was after emerged from the thicket across the field and ran the young buck off the field. Seeing how aggressive the buck was acting I decided to rattle and grunt to him. At this time he was 200 yards from my tree and I had some underbrush around me to where he couldn't see in. He turned and walked straight to my tree. I shot him at 10 yards just before he crossed my wind.
