Hunt Story

I convinced Hunter to go with me on an afternoon hunt at our small farm in Talbot County, GA. We stopped for a quick look at some CSX trains in Manchester and lunch prior to hunt. My son Hunter is a huge rail fan. Then we got to the woods with about 3 hours left of daylight. A small buck came in and did not stay long. About an hour later I saw a good deer approaching from the far end of the firebreak. It immediately looked like the 8-point we had consistent trail-camera photos of on our Tactacam Reveal. I confirmed by a look through the video camera and binoculars. Hunter steadied and made a great double lung shot. We went home for ATV and flashlights and returned with mom and little sister to recover Hunter's first buck. Boy was it a dandy. I heard the deer crash after the shot thankfully because there was no blood trail. Never even found the entry but the 300black destroyed both lungs.
