Hunt Story

Came home from work early Friday afternoon with no intentions of hunting this deer because the wind was not right for the stand I knew he was hanging around. If not for my awesome wife Emily pushing me to go get in the stand, this dream would have never come true. So I decided to go to a clover plot I could hunt with the SE wind with no expectation of this deer showing up. It was around 7:30 deer starting coming out 1 by 1 until he was the last one out around 7:45. I was shaking uncontrollably until he was 40 yards broadside and I knew that’s as close has he would come. I pulled back my bow with my pin dancing all around him and i prayed to God that I would make a clean ethical shot. I finally settled down and put the arrow right behind his shoulder to make a double lung shot. I waited 1 1/2 hrs and found him 70 yards where I shot him. Came back got my wife to help me load him up and we celebrated the rest of the night Thankyou lord for this once in a lifetime buck!
