Hunt Story
Hilarious hunt! 130-inch 8-point that may end up being a top 5 bow kill in my county! I used a a Pinestraw bail and fake pumpkin head with a Realtree hat as a decoy to drive him my way. He was a 7-year-old buck, very smart but 3 times in a row he would enter the area from a different direction. He gave me no entry pattern but each time was so smart he would look up, see my body In the stand and ease off into a bottom behind me. So I set up “the dummy” In the stand and hung a lock-on stand on his exit route hoping he would see the dummy and hit his exit route and I’d be waiting on him. It happened exactly as planned! I self-filmed the hunt but he saw the Pinestraw bail and pumpkin head in the stand and turned to exit and I was in there waiting on him & he presented me with the perfect shot! One of my favorite hunts ever!!
