Hunt Story
I was hunting in a ground blind on a food plot located in the middle of a tract of planted pines. Five does and a 6-point entered the plot and started feeding. All of a sudden, all of the deer threw their heads up and looked towards the other end of the food plot. I looked in that direction, but couldn’t see what had gotten their attention. Eventually the does continued feeding, but the 6-point kept looking in that direction. I looked back and forth, but couldn’t see what had gotten their attention. Then I saw him trotting through the food plot towards the other deer. I knew he was a shooter immediately because of the tine length. I threw up my rifle and made a neck shot, dropping the big buck in his tracks.
