I believe I saw this buck last year as a big 9-pointer. I had him in my scope once but I let him walk the couple of times I saw him in hopes next year he would be bigger. This was tough as he would have been the largest buck of my life so far. I saw him this year and luckily he had survived and grew bigger as I had hoped for. The first couple of times I saw him this year he only came into range for a short minute or two and never positioned himself into an angle I was satisfied with taking a perfect shot so I did not rush into anything. The day before I saw him about 3:45 and he was chasing does on a ridge nearby. I planned to see him the next day at the same time just in case he was on his same schedule and he was. I didn’t see any other deer that afternoon except for him. He came by and positioned himself for a confident shot placement for me to take. It took years and a lot of preparation to harvest such a giant buck of a lifetime.
