Hunt Story

Brayden and his brother were sitting in a box stand watching a long narrow plot we had just harrowed and planted between hardwoods and planted pines. We knew the deer was in the area since he had shown up on the camera on and off all day. At 6:40 he came out with several other deer but didn’t present an ethical shot at 17 yards. A bobcat came out and ran the deer off. At 7:15, the deer started to trickle back in and at 7:30, he showed back up. This time he presented a great shot and Brayden took it at 7:32 at 15 yards. We decided to back out after the blood trail was nonexistent after 30 or so yards in the woods. We called London Young and Jax out to help recover the deer. We gave the deer 3 hours to lay and Jax made a 30-minute track over 420 yards to find the deer dead! This is Brayden’s first bow kill.
