Hunt Story
I was hunting in a hardwood bottom. That afternoon about 30 to 45 minutes before dusk I had to use the restroom. After not seeing any deer so far that afternoon, I decided to just head out instead of scenting up my area. On my way out walking up the road on the property I heard two bucks fighting right off the edge of the road. I froze, and the deer walked out at about 50 yards and I made the shot. I heard the deer run into the hardwood bottom but never heard a crash. Waited for people to get there to help me look. We couldn’t find any blood, so I started walking the the direction I heard him go. About 80 yards in I found good blood on a trail and tracked for another probably 50 yards to where he was laying.
