Wild Game Feast Tickets On Sale Now
The Foundation for Outdoor Kids is hosting a feast to raise money for outdoor charities.
The 13th Annual Wild Game Feast is back again at Roswell River Landing, and everyone is invited. The event will be hosted by The Foundation for Outdoor Kids and will be a fun-filled night with lots of food, live music, raffles and more. It will take place on Jan. 20, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 11, and all proceeds will go to charities supporting the outdoors.
“It is a huge social event to celebrate the outdoor lifestyle, so it won’t be another stuffy fundraising banquet,” said David Smith, founder of The Foundation for Outdoor Kids.
As the name of the event implies, many creative wild-game dishes will be available to eat, like grilled bacon-wrapped venison meatloaf or smoked wild pheasant quesadillas.
“We have a pretty amazing raffle that helps raise funds for outdoor related charities,” said David.
Raffle tickets can be bought throughout the event, and then winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the night. Winners of the raffle can expect to win dozens of donated prizes ranging from Yeti Coolers to a big buck hunt in the Midwest.
The proceeds from the admission and raffle tickets go to charities like the Foundation for Outdoor Kids, the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports, the Quality Deer Management Association and the Georgia Wildlife Federation. The Foundation for Outdoor Kids will use their share of the money raised to help fund educational programs like summer camps, classes, school events and seminars.
“The key idea is that the charities that we give the money to exist to recruit new people, young and old, to hunting, fishing and the shooting sports,” said David.
Tickets are on sale until Jan. 19, but don’t wait long, as they sell out every year. You can purchase your tickets at www.wildgamefeast.net.
