Whitetails Unlimited Grant Supports Deer Hunt For Vets
Press Release | February 21, 2024
Whitetails Unlimited recently granted more than $9,600 to the CJ3 Foundation. The Virginia-based foundation focuses on serving our nation’s wounded and disabled heroes from the U.S. military, law enforcement and emergency services. Their focus is to improve individuals’ outlook on life and reconnect them with their communities.
The funds were used in support of a whitetail deer hunt in southeast Georgia for combat-wounded veterans. The event hosted 20 veterans throughout various properties in Lee and Dougherty counties. The experience was fully guided on quality properties to give the participants the greatest level of success.
Founded in 1982, Whitetails Unlimited is a national nonprofit conservation organization that has remained true to its mission and has made great strides in the field of conservation. The CJ3 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization serving our Nation’s Wounded Heroes – Wounded/Disabled U.S. Military Service Members, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Emergency/First Responders. CJ3 Foundation dose this through four primary Initiatives: CJ3 Advocacy, CJ3 Mental Health & Wellness, CJ3 Service Dogs and CJ3 Field Ops.
From 18-21 April 2024, the CJ3 Foundation Field Ops Initiative will be hosting CJ3 Recipients to attend a CJ3 Foundation Field Ops Turkey Hunt 2024. The CJ3 Recipients will participate in a fully guided hunt across various plantations throughout Lee and Dougherty counties. CJ3 Recipients will have time to relax in a beautiful lodge setting overlooking a south Georgia lake and sprawling pines. Early morning sunrises serenaded by the sounds of God’s creatures will surely be music to their ears… and a turkey gobble will definitely be a bonus! The hunts will be captured in photographs and video so that the memories can be shared with family, friends and partners. The Wounded Heroes have already been selected for the hunt, so CJ3 is not looking for additional Wounded Hero hunters for this event. Please monitor, stay tuned and look for other opportunities if interested.
