Watch Snake Shows At 2022 Ag-Pro GON Outdoor Blast

Ever seen a diamondback rattler up close? The Ag-Pro GON Outdoor Blast and Jason Clark with Southeastern Reptile Rescue will be offering show-goers just that chance and many more snakes during the July 29-31 hunting and fishing sportsmen’s show in Emerson.

GON first worked with Jason during the 2021 Outdoor Blast, and he was a huge hit with our staff and those who attended Jason’s shows or walked through his trailer. He spent time with folks, answering questions and providing great educational information about southeastern reptiles.

Not only will Jason Clark once again be doing live snake shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the event, but the Southeastern Reptile Rescue trailer will again be parked inside the air-conditioned and comfortable Lakepoint Sports Complex. You can stroll through the enclosed trailer to see live snakes and other reptiles behind enclosed habitats. You’ll laugh, you’ll jump and you may even get to hold a snake!

During Jason’s live shows, he ties education into entertainment. You’ll get to see live snakes up close and personal as Jason gives you tips on how to identify snake species and how to tell the difference between venomous and non-venomous snakes.

Jason’s shows will take place in the Truck-Buck Shoot-Out arena. Show times will be Friday at 4 p.m.; Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.; and on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The 2022 Ag-Pro GON Outdoor Blast is presented by Georgia Drives Chevy and sponsored by Apex Hunting Competitions and Kenzie Optics. New this year is the Ultimate $1K Shoot-Out. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, anyone at the Blast can step into the Truck-Buck Shoot Arena and qualify for the chance to win $1,000. Qualifying is $5 for one shot or $10 for three shots at an egg from the 45-foot stage. Qualifiers will shoot at the egg from 60 feet until we have a $1,000 winner.

Also new this year is the Bass Tub and Fishing Seminars, and APEX Competitions will conduct their deer and turkey awards show on Saturday.

The Gun-An-Hour Giveaway is back this year. During the Outdoor Blast we give away a gun every hour to a show attendee—no raffle tickets to buy. Also at the show will be the Chevy Ride-and-Drive Experience, Truck-Buck Shoot-Out, and the 2nd annual Yonah Invitational Turkey Calling Championships, an NWTF Grand National Qualifier.
