Representative Trey Rhodes To Chair Game, Fish & Parks
GON Staff | February 2, 2019
State Representative Trey Rhodes (R-Greensboro) takes the helm as the new Chairman of the House Game, Fish, and Parks Committee.
This committee is where most legislation that impacts sportsmen begins its legislative process. The chair of the Game, Fish, and Parks Committee is an important position that in the past influenced or directly affected whether or not legislation moved out of the committee and could see a vote by the full House of Representatives.
“I am very humbled and thankful to be appointed chairman of Game, Fish, and Parks by Speaker Ralston,” said Rep. Rhodes. “I look forward to working with the Speaker, the committee and (DNR) Commissioner Mark Williams to ensure that Georgia remains a great place to enjoy all of our outdoor activities that we have been blessed with.”
Trey Rhodes represents District 120 in the Georgia House. His district is in the heart of the Piedmont hunting region and includes Greene, Oglethorpe and Taliaferro counties and portions of Putnam and Wilkes counties.
