Deer Scoring At The Outdoor Blast

With the new Outdoor Blast location at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, scorers measured a record number of bucks during the event. Hunters can bring racks to get measured anytime during show hours Friday and Saturday and until 2 p.m. Sunday.

So you’ve been seeing the Georgia Deer Records published in GON all these years. Maybe you have the mount of a WMA buck, or a late uncle’s buck killed years ago that’s never been measured by an official scorer. 

There’s a great way to get that taken care of, and the score will be automatically recorded by GON in our Georgia Deer Records. Take that old mount down off the wall, blow off the dust, and bring it to the Ag-Pro GON Outdoor Blast, presented by Georgia Drives Chevy and sponsored by Apex Hunting Competitions and Kenzie Optics.  

We invite all Outdoor Blast attendees and vendors to bring their antlers and shoulder mounts to the Outdoor Blast. Drop them off, and our team of official Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young scorers will tally up the inches, and your buck’s final score will be recorded and listed in GON’s Georgia Deer Records program forever.

While you wait on an official score, visit with hundreds of vendors, shop for Blast Bargains, enjoy the Southeastern Reptile Rescue snake show, watch one of GON’s Shoot-Outs, check out the Yonah Invitational Turkey Calling Championships or maybe even win one of 21 guns we’re giving away—one free gun drawing happens every hour! On Saturday, you can compete in the new $1K Ultimate Shoot-Out in the Truck-Buck Arena. 

Drop your deer off anytime during show hours Friday or Saturday but please show no later than 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 31. However, don’t wait until the show is about to close on Friday and Saturday. If you drop off antlers near the closing hours of the show, you might not be able to pick your rack up until the next day.
