Man Bikes From Snellville To Redlands WMA, Kills First Buck

Rob Barnard, of Snellville, was successful at bagging his first deer on Saturday, Oct. 20, 1990.

Rob didn’t have a car Friday, but he wanted to go hunting real bad—bad enough that he decided to ride his bike from Snellville to Redlands WMA! Rob started peddling at 3:30 p.m. Friday and got all the way to Loganville before another hunter gave him a ride to Watkinsville, from where Rob peddled down Highway 15 the rest of the way to Redlands.

The most amazing part of this story is that after all that effort, Rob bagged his first deer, a 6-pointer.

Rob Barnard, of Snellville, rode his bike all the way to Redlands WMA, and the effort paid off with this 6-pointer. It was Rob’s first deer.
