Bass: David Earl Thorton, with Franklin Gun Shop, reports, “You can catch 2-lb. buck bass on any wood structure. Cover water with a spot-remover colored Jackhammer to find fish, then slow down and fish a green pumpkin/blue Sumkina Trickie Stickie on the wood to catch more bass. On bright sunshine days, cast a brown Katch-Her 1/2-oz. jig around docks and in blowdowns. Sight fishing for bedding bass will come into play this month, too.
