“This fly, whether designed for this purpose or not, works especially well in streams with low clarity.  After those strong March rains, many streams in north Georgia will be filled with silt and the need for a nymph with exceptionaly good ‘light capturing’ abilities can sometimes be a neccesity.  It represents a multitude of different natural bugs, but is most useful when fishing during a time when mayflies are present.” -JB
