Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report – September 2010

GON Staff | August 25, 2010

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: 90 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Slow. Clayton Batts reports, “Bass fishing has been tough, but it’s starting to improve and should get way better in September. Low-light hours and at night have been the best times to catch fish. During the low-light hours, fish rip-rap and seawalls with a green-pumpkin finesse worm at the first of the month, and by the end of the month the bass should be aggressive enough to hit a Spro Hydra Pop in these same areas. If you fish during the day, fish thick brushpiles with a Big Bite Baits finesse worm, or skip shady docks with the same worm on a Big Bite Baits shaky head. The night bite is the best right now and will be good in September. Fish brush close to deep water or rip-rap with any dark plastic.”
