Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report October 2015

GON Staff | September 30, 2015

Tobesofkee: Temp: Mid 70s. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Tournament angler Clayton Batts reports, “There are still a few fish hanging around main-lake points and humps, but the better quality have started following the shad into the pockets. The bass that are still on main-lake humps and points can be caught on a green-pumpkin Big Bite Baits Shaking Squirrel on a drop shot and a Spro DD crankbait. The key to getting the deep fish to bite is keeping an eye on your Lowrance and making sure bait is around them. They have been difficult to catch if there is no bait around. The fish that are back in the pockets can be caught on a variety of baits. Fishing pockets that have bait in them and covering water has been key. A white Strikezone Lures Edgebuster spinnerbait and a Spro Little John crankbait has been producing quality bites in the grass around the mouths leading into the pockets and along the rip-rap. As the month moves along, look for the Spro ArukuShad bite to really turn on in the back of the pockets and on shallow flats.”
