Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report – October 2010

GON Staff | September 29, 2010

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: Low 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Clayton Batts reports, “Bass fishing is improving with the days getting shorter, and the temperature starting to cool. Fish are starting to move shallow following the bait into the pockets and small creeks. Fish a Spro Hydra Pop around grass and seawalls that lead into the pockets and smaller creeks in the low-light hours or all day when it is overcast. Once the sun comes up, fish shallow cover in these areas with a Spro Little John crankbait or Big Bite Baits finesse worm on a jig head. Keep your topwater out all day because there has been some schooling activity. This month and on into the fall it’s all about the bait, so keep your Lowrance on looking for bait, and always keep an eye out for bait on the surface.”
