Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report May 2011

GON Staff | April 27, 2011

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: Low 70s. Clarity: Stained.

Bass:
Good. Clayton Batts reports, “The spawn is almost over, but there are still a few late spawners on bed. Look for these beds in the backs of pockets around dock posts and on sandy flats. Look for bass that have already spawned to start feeding back up this month around bream beds and the shad spawn. Look for bream beds around docks and around sandy areas in pockets. These bass can be caught on a Spro Hydra Pop or a wacky-rigged Big Bite Baits Trick Stick in watermelon red. The shad should start spawning any day now first thing in the morning around rip-rap and grass. Fish a Spro Hydra Pop, white buzzbait or spinnerbait anywhere you can see the shad spawning.”
