Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report – July 2009

GON Staff | June 23, 2009

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: 86-88 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Clayton Batts reports, “Bass are in their summer pattern right now around docks and on deep-water humps and points. Fish deeper docks where the channel sweeps in on them with a green-pumpkin or red-bug Big Bite Baits Biobait finesse worm. The fish will be on the outer corners early and late, and as far back under them as you can get it when the sun is up. Fish the humps and points with a Carolina rig or Fat Free Shad crankbait. There is a good topwater bite on a Spro Hydra Pop or a buzzbait around seawalls and grass early and late. The best bite is at night around any brush you can find around the docks or main-lake seawalls. Throw a Big Bite Baits Shaky Head on 10-lb. GAMMA fluorocarbon, and let it soak in the brush as long as you can stand it.”
