Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report January 2012

GON Staff | December 29, 2011

Tobesofkee: Temp: Mid 50s. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Good. Clayton Batts reports, “Bass are in their winter pattern right now. Shallow-running crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps and jigs are producing the best right now. Fish a Stanford Lures Razor Shad in citrus shad or a Spro Little John MD in spring craw around rock seawalls and docks that have deeper water close by. A Spro Aruku Shad in chrome-blue has been producing after the sun gets up and warms the water. Fish the Aruku Shad in the middle of pockets that have bait present. The jig bite is getting better by the day. Fish a black/blue Spro K finesse jig around the dead grass and around docks. The docks that have brush around them, and the banks that have rocks on them have been more consistent.”
