Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report February 2014

GON Staff | January 30, 2014

Tobesfokee: Level: Full Pool. Temp: Mid 40s. Clarity: Very stained.

Bass: Slow. Tournament pro Clayton Batts reports, “The lake is nothing but mud, and the fishing is tough. The best places right now with all the mud are the pockets behind the bridges that have a little more stable water. Look for a crankbait bite around the rip-rap in these pockets and areas that are close to deep water out on the main lake. Fish a Spro Little John in firetiger or spring craw, and make multiple casts to areas with a hard bottom. The other bite is throwing a black/blue Secret Lures jig with a Big Bite Baits sapphire-blue trailer around docks and any brush you find on the main lake. If the lake starts to clear, the bite will be better, and the deeper bite should come back into play.”
