Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report – December 2010

GON Staff | November 23, 2010

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: 60-62 degrees. Clarity: Clear to slight stain.

Bass: Very good. Clayton Batts reports, “There are a lot of fish up shallow right now chasing bait in the pockets. Throw a Spro Aruku Shad Jr. in chrome blue or a Little John in nasty shad around any bait you see in the pockets. You can also catch some of the larger fish in the pockets by flipping a Big Bite Baits Fighting Frog around docks and shallow wood. When December rolls around, there should be both some deep fish and shallow fish. Look for the jig bite to really heat up when the water temperature gets below 58. Fish main-lake rocks and docks with a Spro Jig with a Big Bite Baits trailer, and work it very slowly whenever you come in contact with any structure on the bottom. The deep fish will be on main-lake points and humps. Your best bet for catching them is a Carolina-rigged, green-pumpkin finesse worm or a Spro Little John DD in cellmate.”
