Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report August 2013

GON Staff | July 31, 2013

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: Mid 80s. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Slow. Tournament pro Clayton Batts reports, “The bite on Lake Tobesofkee has been tough with all the changing weather conditions. Try fishing topwater like a Pop-R around seawalls and grass during low-light conditions and all day on cloudy, rainy days. When the sun comes out, fish a green-pumpkin Big Bite Baits Shaking Squirrel on a 1/8-oz. Gamakatsu Alien Head under main-lake docks and rip-rap seawalls. The best bite has been at night and should get even better as August rolls on. Fish any brush that’s around the docks with a black-with-blue-flake Big Bite Baits finesse worm and a 1/4-oz. Fish Catchin Fool tungsten weight. The other nighttime option is to fish points and humps on the upper end of the lake with a Carolina-rigged Big Bite Baits finesse worm.”
