Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report August 2012

GON Staff | August 2, 2012

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: 90 degrees. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Fair. Clayton Batts reports, “Fishing is tough right now with the best bite being after dark. Almost every fish at night and during the day has been caught on Big Bite Baits finesse worms worked very, very slow. Fish a green pumpkin or black Big Bite Baits finesse worm around docks and main lake brush piles. Dead stick the worm whenever you come in contact with any brush or rocks for up to 10 seconds before you move it again. There have also been a few fish caught late in the evening and very early off rip-rap that is close to deep water on a Spro Little John or a Stanford Lures Razor Shad in shad colors. It has been a grind during the heat of the day. Your two options are to get a reaction strike with a Spro Little John DD or to drag a Big Bite Baits finesse worm around main-lake points and humps.
