Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report August 2011

GON Staff | July 28, 2011

Tobesofkee: Level: Full pool. Temp: High 80s.

Bass:
Fair. Clayton Batts reports, “The bite is starting to die off with all the heat. Look for fish that are grouped up on points and humps during the daylight hours. Search for these fish with a Spro Little John DD in citrus shad, and then really slow down and work the area over with a Big Bite Baits finesse worm in green pumpkin or black with blue flake. There has also been a decent dock bite during the heat of the day. The key to this bite is getting your bait as far under the docks as possible. Skip a Big Bite finesse worm on a 1/16-oz. jig head as far as you can, and just work it very slowly through the shade. The night bite has been the most consistent bite recently. Fish any brush or rocks close to deep water, and really slow your bait down when you come in contact with the cover.” See page 86 for a full feature on Toby.
