Lake Sinclair Fishing Report – July 2024

GON Staff | June 26, 2024

Sinclair: Level: 0.5 feet below 339. Temp: Mid 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Even though it’s July, some fish will be up shallow and biting. Expect this bite to be even better after those afternoon thunderstorms will cool the water by a degree or two. This slight change will push the shad up, and the bass will follow. Also, watch for bream beds and any mayflies that are hatching. For the shallow bite, topwater, like a buzzbait or frog, can pick up some fish. Trick Worms will work in areas with grass. There is always a deep dock bite during the summer months. Traditional dock baits on Sinclair are Ol’ Monster worms. However, if the fish get finicky, shaky heads are good for better numbers. With increased boat traffic during the month, fishing mudlines can be productive. Throw confidence baits in these areas, but crankbaits and plastics will work.
